NEW RICHMOND, WISCONSIN - In 2008 IMS, Division of LWT, LLC (IMS Dredges) sold over twenty dredging systems worldwide.

2009 Orders:

During the first quarter of 2009, IMS has received the following noteworthy orders:

MEXICO: Sale of two IMS Model 5012 LP Versi-Dredge / Weedharvester Combo units to a local CAT Dealer for a government lake restoration project. Sale of one IMS Model 7012 HP Versi-Dredge to Isolux for clean-up of the sea water intake in Rosarito.

RUSSIA: Sale of an IMS Model 5012 LP Versi-Dredge for lake restoration and sale of an IMS Model 7012 HP for river sand mining.

USA: Sale of an IMS Model 5012 HP to Anglin Civil Contracting for mining sand from a lake in Michigan. The 5012 HP will pump sand over 3,000 feet (913 m) to the discharge area. 

Dredging Project Updates:

During the second half of 2008 IMS delivered a significant amount of dredging systems world wide. Many of those systems were used in unique or high profile projects. A few of those projects are as follows:

USA: A contractor purchased a 5012 HP Versi-Dredge for a nuclear settling pond project in the U.S. Southwest. The dredge performed up to the client's expectations and completed the project on time.

USA: A California based contractor cleaned up the main channel of Marina Del Rey Marina near LAX International utilizing an IMS Model 7012 HP Versi-Dredge. The dredge performed the multi-million dollar project with ease pumping large amounts of sand and trash several thousand feet.

MALAYSIA: An IMS Model 7012 HP Versi-Dredge was launched at Port of Penang, Malaysia. The 425 HP (317 kW) system dwarfed the previous system that IMS built in the early 1990's which has been working well at Port of Penang for close to two decades. 

TURKMENISTAN: An IMS Model 7012 HP Versi-Dredge was launched on the Caspian Sea to handle a large project for a local contractor. 

Product Updates:

IMS is responding to the ever-increasing demand for highly versatile, one-truck transportable dredging systems by offering a ladder conversion system for newly built IMS Model 5012 HP Versi-Dredges. The 5012 HP Versi-Dredge is now available with the optional ladder conversion to allow the system to handle the IMS Low Pressure Pump (LP) commonly used for debris rich areas as well as the Weedmaster Cutterhead. This conversion package allows the 5012 HP to be used for long distance pumping of abrasive slurries, larger spherical objects up to 6 inches (152mm), and various types of invasive aquatic vegetation. Contractors can now handle a wider variety of projects with one dredging system than ever before at half the cost.

In Q4 of 2008 IMS delivered its first Model 8010 HP 15 ft. (4.6m) deep digging Swinging Ladder Dredge to a Canadian mining company for cleaning out a tailings pond.

Customer Financing:

IMS now accepts Usance Letters of Credit with deferred payment terms that call for payment at a specified future date instead of at sight. These L/C's are secured and a major correspondent of the issuing bank adds L/C confirmation. Benefits include:

Enables IMS to offer credit with extended payment terms of up to one year because payment is guaranteed. 

Enables the Buyer to defer payment at a later date which is favorable for cash flow purposes. 

Enables the Buyer to offer the dredge as hard collateral to its local Lender and/or L/C Issuing Bank upon shipment (since the bill of lading which evidences transfer of title from IMS to the Buyer can be consigned to the L/C Issuing bank). 

Fees and charges are more cost effective/less expensive than local currency financing. 

New International Offices:

IMS Dredges is aggressively expanding into new global markets and has recently added new agents in Russia, Vietnam, Colombia, North Africa, West Africa, and Central Asia. In addition, IMS's product information is now available in Polish, Russian, and Spanish through its various Agents Web sites. 

New Web Site:

IMS has just launched the first phase of its next generation Web site aimed at providing its agents and clients with valuable tools for promoting its products and production applications worldwide. New features include: extensive photo galleries, power point presentation, application specific videos, and detailed product function animations.

Training:
